We are traveling in our 2008 Toyota Tundra. There isn't anything special about our truck but we have tried to make it as comfortable as possible since we will live out of it for a number of months.
In the front of the truck, Tucker has his own sleeping platform where he sleeps and breathes heavily on whoever is driving. He has his own window to stick his nose out of and try to catch all the passing smells. He sleeps next to our little truck refrigerator/freezer. This allows us to keep our fresh foods cool and survive without the mess of soggy food in ice. Underneath this area is storage for all things Tucker related as well as our tool kit.
In the back of the truck is our drawer system that stores all our food, clothes, bedding, and other stuff.
There are two six-foot long drawers that slide out for easy access. On top of the drawers is our sleeping platform. We found an Ikea mattress that also folds up into a sweet couch (for when we are stuck inside the truck due to bad weather).
In front of the drawers is the electrical system that is powered by a National Luna Portable Power Pack as well as all of Misa's (lots of) clothes. The portable power pack powers all of our lights, our fridge, our accessory outlets, our power inverter, and also provides emergency backup power for our truck.
On top of the truck is Colin's surfboard, a cargo box filled with our XC-skis, the splitboard, and other miscellaneous winter stuff. We also have a great Camping Lab awning that provides us with a bit of shelter from the rain and sun.
